Spotlight on Mariebelle

MarieBelle makes some of the most beautiful chocolates in the world. Once you feast your eyes on a box of these truly magnificent candies, you’ll feel almost guilty at the thought of eating them. To produce these delicate little creations, Maribel Lieberman, the owner, starts with only the freshest ingredients, using coco concentrations over 70% and the finest fruit and flavor additions to first create a superb chocolate palette. Confectionary artisans then use this palette to create exquisite and edible works of art on every piece. These signature candies may be purchased in a variety of sizes and flavors, from two pieces to thirty-six per box. All boxed chocolate is wrapped to aesthetic perfection so the experience is haute couture from beginning to end.

The spectacular fine art chocolate is only part of the MarieBelle story. The Cacao Salon is a little bit of heaven on Earth for chocoholics looking for a place to relax and enjoy a decadent treat in style and comfort. Located at 484 Bromme Street in New York City, this is chocolate exploration at its finest. The Salon, which is located in MarieBelle’s flagship store in the Soho district, is a delight for the senses. Pull up a chair in the stylish dessertery, which is reminiscent of old world European cafés, and order a tall glass of their famous Aztec Iced Chocolate to cool you down. If you’re in the mood for a decadent dessert with your cold drink, you’ll find that they have plenty to offer. The Salon has an array of delectable desserts for your sweet tooth satisfaction including: cakes, cookies, pastries, and, of course, chocolate. Their signature dessert, the MarieBelle Molten Cake, is available year round and is a chocolate lovers dream; this decadent cake is made with fine Aztec Chocolate, is served warm and boasts a gooey, rich center.

The salon also features monthly events such as chocolate and wine tasting. These mini seminars discuss the various grades of coco and how their chocolate goes from burnished bean to edible art. Of course there is lots of "hands-on" training as attendees get a chance to sample different MarieBelle chocolate flavors with coffees, teas and wines.
