They found that chocolate not only contains those antioxidants known to help your health, but there are also plant flavonoids in chocolate called epicatechins. These compounds appear to be responsible for benefit to your blood vessels, which of course are needed by the body for a variety of functions, but are especially needed to maintain heart health.
