The New York Wine and Culinary Center opens to the public today in western New York, much to the delight of many residents' palates.
The new facility -- which sits near the northern shore of Canandaigua Lake -- is aimed at helping the state's agriculture, wine and culinary industries by raising awareness of what New York has to offer.
More than 700 people gathered in Canandaigua -- near Rochester -- yesterday for the official ribbon-cutting of the new center. Wine enthusiasts, gourmet fiends, corporate partners and public officials attended the ceremony to celebrate it's opening.
